Jan was an instructor of mine in nursing school. I considered her a teacher, mentor and friend. She had a beautiful smile and gentle nature, and she will be sorely missed. Prayers and condolences to all the family. Your loss is shared by many.

We were so shocked to see in the paper where Jan had passed away. She was one of the sweetest people that we have ever met. Bill was a patient of hers for the last year and I have never met anyone that was as concerning and caring as she was. Bill and she had many amusing conversations during our visits and she always took the time to sit and listen and share a few laughs with him. I pray that God will wrap each one of her children and brother in His big loving arms and give them the comfort and peace that only He can give them. You all are in our prayers during this difficult and trying time.

It was a pleasure to know and work with Jan for these many years. She has been a great health care provider to the patients she served because she genuinely cared about people--all people. It showed in everything she did. Joni, James and John, you were her greatest blessings on earth! Joni, working with you while you were in school is a fond memory of mine. You were so capable and I understood, even then, how much your mom had impacted your life. Jan showed us all how to live by her daily actions. She was a strong woman and I loved that about her, yet she was gentle and caring. So many people have said, "She was a good woman," and she was! She was a great lady and her hands were always extended, helping to heal whatever and whomever was hurting. I treasure the memory of my friend Jan and look forward to one day meeting her again. If I can be of service to the family in any way, please feel free to call me. My prayer is that God will comfort your hearts as only He can.

Dearest Jan. We worked together for several years. She definitely had a "servants heart". My husband,Charles, always said she was the one to cure him when he was sick.
I know this was so unexpected. I pray that all of the family and friends will be comforted through this time and with best memories. God does have her home.

I was BLESSED to have been Jan's nurse since September 2012. Immediately was impressed with her work ethic, loving nature and compassion for her patients / coworkers / family. She had a special joy about her and pride shone on her face everytime she spoke of her children and granddaughter. She loved them and God with all of her heart. I will miss her so much. John, James & Joni: wishing you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts. Always remember how much you were loved.

Jan was my doctor, my friend, and my counselor. Anytime I had an appointment with her, she did much more than caring for my physical needs. She was such an encourager. She advised me to get the devotion book "Jesus Calling" and it helped me get through some trying times. I will miss her so much. I want the family to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Jan went to school with my mom in Cumby and i have worked with her for 15 years at the clinic. There was never one time that if one of my kids or family were sick that she wouldnt take the time to see and take care of them. i passed her office everyday on my way to lunch and almost always stopped in and talked with her. She always said "no matter what was going on that i always had the biggest smile on my face". She was a precious person and i will miss her dearly!
