Years of friendship with Courtney Mitchell gave me the opportunity and the blessing to watch Clay Mitchell grow up from a little boy into a great young man. Being a mom has made it harder to understand why this would happen but only God knows and I am so thankful that Clay isn't alone upstairs but with people that love him dearly. Clay will always be missed and the impact he made in the short time he was with us shows evidence of how great a young man he truly was. May God be with Clay's family and friends during this time and may they be blessed with the peace that Angie has her sweet boy to hold onto once again. Rest In Peace Clay.

It is such a tragic loss to say goodbye to anyone... especially our youth. We will never comprehend why awful things happen to really good people. We can only find comfort in the realization that this world is our not home...we are just passing through...Our treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue. It was a blessing to grow up with Clay, Carmen and Courtney. I will cherish our memories together. My fervent prayers for you today and always.

My heart is saddened by the loss of Clay. Though I knew him for only a brief time while at Clarendon College, he was a wonderful and caring young man. My son Tyler (11 years old) often played pool with him and other RFO students. On numerous occasion, I recall hearing them laugh and Clay's smile was infectious.
Please let me reaffirm that he was a Godly young man. He helped sponsor Tyler for this years boyscout camp. I can recall a recent conversation that Tyler had with Clay. Tyler asked him if he knew Jesus and if he had accepted Jesus into his heart. Without hesitation Clay said yes. God has a bigger plan for Clay and needed him sooner that expected. May you find comfort in these words and know that he is loved and will be greatly missed. Until we meet again!
Lifting family and friends in prayer!
