Obituary of Billy Joe Goldsmith
Funeral services for Billy Joe Goldsmith, age 80, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 13, 2012 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Burns and Bro. Ronnie Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Rockdale Cemetery with Jimmy Don Goldsmith, Johnny Goldsmith, Johnathon Goldsmith, Bobby Jenkins, Bill Sharber and Larry J. Temples serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mr. Goldsmith passed away Monday, September 10, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Goldsmith was born on March 21, 1932 in Hopkins County. He married Lillie Francis and she preceded him in death in 2003. Mr. Goldsmith delivered parts for over 32 years for A-1 Auto (Napa). He was a member of South Liberty Baptist Church. He is survived by sons, Billy Lynn Goldsmith and wife Carol of Holly, Michigan, Mark Goldsmith and wife Melissa of Emory, Texas, daughter, Kathy M. Goldsmith of Emory, grandchildren, Christopher Goldsmith, Danielle Goldsmith, Justin Goldsmith, Mark Shipman, Carlton Goldsmith, Micah Swanson and Mitchell Goldsmith, one great-grandchild, Alaina Goldsmith, brothers, Jimmy David Goldsmith and wife Linda of Reilly Springs, Texas, sisters, Robbie Dixon of Sulphur Springs, Tommie Ellen Reed and husband Junior of Wylie, Texas, Charlotte Goldsmith of Lake Fork, Texas and Avo Chester of Emory along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his brother, Lee Forrest Goldsmith, sister, Mary Ruth Williams, daughter, Barbara Gail Goldsmith, parents, Jimmy Lee and Juanita Elizabeth Goldsmith.
