Mrs Hargrave....I am so sorry for your loss. It is a loss to so many but none to compare to yours. I am sorry I was not able to attend the services but was not feeling well and hated to subject others to something I might have. I was saddened upon reading of the passing of Butch. I worked with him on the Nelta Cemetary Board for the past few years and enjoyed knowing him. He will certainly be missed.

I wish badly I could be there to hug your necks and show my deep love for you today, as well as my deep respect for Uncle Butch. I remember how smart BUTCH was in high school. He excelled in math and had a beautiful handwriting. He was kind and friendly and everyone liked him.I was just amazed that he didn't have to study. So sorry for your loss. Butch was such a good guy and I enjoyed working with him those years at Lubbock PD. One thing that always stuck with me was his grace and poise after losing the race for Sheriff. I met with Butch and Gloria that night after the election and he was just so calm about the loss. I remember thinking what poise he had. Butch was always ready to laugh and was always joking around with people. He will be missed and my thoughts are with your family during this difficult time.
