Obituary of Lawrence "L.B." Bradford Harris

Funeral services for Lawrence “L.B.” Bradford Harris, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 4, 2019 at West Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m., prior to service time. LB passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018. He was born on December 2, 1937 in Van Zandt County to John Dewey and Jewel Lee Harris. He served in the United States Army, doing 2 tours in Germany after WWII and the Korean Conflict. He attended Abilene Christian University. He served as a police officer for 38 years, working for Dallas Police Department, Wood County, and University Park. He was known in the Fair Park area as Mr. Cigar. He married Margie Nan Petty on January 19, 2013 in Reilly Springs, she survives. He was a member of Reilly Springs Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Margie, LB is also survived by son, David Bradford Harris and wife Joann of Farmersville, daughter, Carolyn Diane Angell of Mesquite, step-son, Terry Flanary and wife Debbie of Seabrook, grandchildren, Jennifer Angell-Parry and husband Joshua of Garland, Leslie Diane Harris of Farmersville, Christina Averalo of Princeton, Julie Edwards of Elyria, Ohio, Carol Patterson of Bonham, Samantha Harris of  Farmersville, Heather Harris of Farmersville, Katelyn Harris of Farmersville, Lawrence Conrad Angell and wife Christina of Garland, Christopher Edward of Farmersville, great-grandchildren, Lowell Lee, Christopher Waylon, Jakson Curtis Parry, Harley-Quinn Rene'y Angell, brother, George Harris and wife Joann of Winnsboro, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Dortha Nell Radney of 54 years, granddaughter, Christie Diane Angell, brothers, Dewey Edmond Harris, Roy Wilburn Harris, Rayford Leon Harris, and sisters, Eunice Laverne Harris, and Minnie Laurene Harris.
