Obituary of Alicia Malagon Retana

Funeral services for Alicia Malagon Retana, age 54, of Yantis, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 13, 2018 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jose Pacheco officiating and Gloria Zimmer assisting. Graveside service with Guadalupe Fernandez will follow at Yantis Cemetery with Luis Manuel Retana Jr, Jose Alfredo Malagon, Jonathan Malagon, Antonio Malagon Tovar, Francisco Malagon Trovar, and Pedro Malagon Trovar serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 12, 2018 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Alicia passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018. She was born on October 11, 1963 in Apaseo El Alto, GTO Mexico, the daughter of Pablo Malagon and Alberta Tobar. She was a member of Jesucristo de Refuigo, Pentecostal Church in Dallas. Alicia married Luis Manuel Retana in 1999, in Yantis, TX. He survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Luis Manuel Retana, Jr of Yantis, Jose Alfredo Malagon of Houston, grandchildren, Christian, Gabriel, and Matthew Malagon all of Houston, brothers, Carlos Malagon of Apaseo el Grande, Antonio Malagon of Houston, Francisco Malagon, and Pedro Malagon, both of Queretaro, sisters, Rosa Malagon of Apaseo el Grande, Maria Navarro of Sulphur Springs, Sylvia Malagon, Laura Malagon, Maris de la Luz Malagon, and Consuelo Malagon, all of Apaseo el Grande.
