Obituary of B.C. Green

Funeral service for Buford Clinton “B.C.” Green, Jr., 61, of Dike, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 13, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ron Smedley officiating. Military graveside honors by the Hopkins County Military Coalition will follow at Rockdale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 12, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mr. Green passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 5, 1952 in Hopkins County, the son of Buford Clinton, Sr. and Eilean Hamrick Green. He married Barbara Anderson Green on December 15, 1969 in Sulphur Springs, TX. She survives. He served in the National Guard and was self-employed. In addition to his wife he is also survived by, sons, Shane Green of Dike, Shawn Green of Sulphur Springs, Kevin Green of Sulphur Bluff, brother, Timmy Green and wife Kim of Yantis, sisters, Margaret Moore and husband Tommy of Sulphur Springs, Nelda Green of Sulphur Springs, Dora Patterson and husband Harland of Sulphur Springs, grandchildren, Kyle and Katie Green, and numerous nieces and nephews.
