Obituary of Bobby Shrode

Graveside services for Bobby Frank Shrode, age 66, of Abilene will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Nelta Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation. Mr. Shrode passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene. Mr. Shrode was born on November 14, 1947 in Hopkins County the son of Ernest Howard and Gladys (Leewright) Shrode. Mr. Shrode worked as a handyman most of his life. He is survived by one brother, Mike Shrode of Spearman, TX along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, W. H. “Dub” Shrode, two sisters, Sybil Armstrong and Nell Wilcox. Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home. www.westoaksfuneralhome.com
