Obituary of Floyd Evertt Spears

A visitation for Floyd Evertt Spears, age 90, of Sulphur Springs, will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at West Oaks Funeral Home.  Floyd passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs.  He was born on August 4, 1928 in Earle, Arkansas, the son of Enoch and Maude Pugh Spears. Floyd served in the United States Army from 1950 to 1952. He later worked as an electrician for GM. He married Patsy Keel on October 18, 1952 in Pocahontas, Arkansas. She preceded him in death. Floyd is survived by sons, Ricky E. Spears and wife Cheryl and David W. Spears and wife Donna, grandchildren, Ryan Spears, Jeffrey Spears, and Dennis Spears, great-grandchildren, Micheal and Kaylee Spears.  In addition to his wife, Floyd is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and three sisters.
