Ernestine "Granny" is a smart, funny, and very loving woman. When I became a part of her family there was never a misstep in accepting me as her own grandson. I always remember sitting down listening to her stories, it always amazed me at how detailed everything was recalled in them. I will always miss her smile and her hugs, she always tried real hard to get her arms all the way around me, at least as far as she could . I wish my family would of gotten a chance to know her, the woman I loved as Granny, more than they had. Granny was my Granny as much as anyone else's and I loved her deeply for that. I will miss you dearly and love you always Granny.
Sincerely,
The Timmons Family

To all of our extended Shrode family, those of us in Tennessee are deeply saddened by the loss of our Auntie E. Lance phrased it very well when he told us, "a light had gone out of the world." She was a special lady that we all loved dearly. Since mom didn't have siblings, memaw's siblings became our regular aunts and uncles and therefore are/were very special to us. I will miss her dry whit and scathing looks (as if into your soul). Much love to you all and we are all sorry we cannot be there with you.
