Obituary of John William Russell, Sr.

Funeral services for John William Russell, Sr., age 66, of Sulphur Springs, TX will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Sulphur Springs City Cemetery with Luke Russell, Heath Russell, Beau Weiss, Paul Ray Vititow, Kyle Tate, and Benny Darlin serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held at 3:00 p.m., one hour prior to service.  Mr. Russell passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs. John was born May 24, 1952 in Pittsburg, TX to Thomas Arthur Russell and Rose Marie (Snow) Russell. He married Cindy Tate on June 24, 2006 in Sulphur Springs, she survives. In addition to his wife Cindy, he is survived by sons, Cole Burnett and wife Kimberly of Sulphur Springs, John William Russell, Jr. of Dallas, daughter, Melissa Tillman and husband JB of Dallas, father, Thomas Russell, brothers, Mark Russell and wife Marion of Richardson, sister, Ramona Weiss and husband Mark of Dallas, grandchildren, Addison Burnett, Jonathan Russell, Joseph Russell, Matthew Russell, Jada Rose Tillman, and twins coming soon Heston Tate and Hudson Jack Burnett.
