Obituary of Harold Lloyd Kids

Funeral services for Harold Lloyd Kids, age 82, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Friday, February 16, 2018 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jimmy Henry officiating.  Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., one hour prior to service time at West Oaks Funeral Home.  Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren and nephews, Scott Thompson and Dale Thompson. Harold passed away on Tuesday, February 13,2018 at CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs.  Harold was born on February 6, 1936 in Royce City, TX, the son of Paul Kids and Vivian Bufkin Kids.  He married Linda Thompson on September 7, 1958 in Sulphur Springs.  She survives. Harold was in real estate and retired from Century 21.  He served briefly in the National Guard in Ft. Knox, TN. He graduated with a Bachelors’ degree from East Texas State University.  In addition to his wife he is survived by three sons, Craig Kids and wife Bonni of Longview, Wade Kids and wife Tana of Atlanta, GA, and Cale Kids and wife Jennifer of Midlothian, grandchildren, Landon Kids and wife Emily, Tyler Kids and wife Kaitlyn, Brianna Kids, Madison Kids, Cade Kids, Karson Kids and Cooper Kids, great-grandchildren, Walker and Caroline Kids.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or a charity of your choice.  Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home. www.westoaksfuneralhome.com
