Obituary of Aubrey Lee Potts
Funeral services for Aubrey Lee Potts, age 87, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 17, 2018 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim Potts and Bro. Don Tinsley officiating. Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery with Tommy Potts, Brad Daugherty, Jim Potts, Jimmy Daugherty, Howard Cantrell and Pat Potts serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Cash Vititow, Chuck Vititow, John Williams, Jimmy Harris and Stoney. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 16, 2018 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Aubrey passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at CHRISTUS Mother Frances of Sulphur Springs. Aubrey was born on January 13, 1931 in Hopkins County the son of Tommy Lee Potts and Bessie Boren Potts. He married Opal Harris on November 25, 2010 in Sulphur Springs and she survives. Aubrey worked for Ford Motor Company and was a cattle rancher for many years. In addition to his wife Opal, he is survived by his daughter, Janet Potts Cantrell, sister, Jo Walker Spencer Malone, grandchildren, Anthony Howard Cantrell, Crystal Leigh Banks and Brooke Lauren Cantrell, great-grandchildren, Hudson Aubrey Cantrell, Lily Margaret Banks, Hadleigh Banks and Violet Banks, step-children, Leslie M. Lewis and Robert Bingham, step-grandchildren, Jackson Bingham, Grace Bingham, Pheobe Lewis, and Freah Lewis, and sister and brother-in-laws, Fred Woerndell and Debbie Harris Woerndell, Irene Hightower, Judy Robertson, Jimmy Daugherty and Jimmy Harris. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 50 years, Margaret Haire Potts, his parents, sister, Judy Walker Daugherty, brother-in-law, Donald Spencer, sister-in-laws, Ida Woodard and Hazel Moore.
