Obituary of Annie Pearl Pogue
Funeral services for Annie Pearl Pogue, age 91, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Troy Young officiating. Interment will follow at St. Luke Cemetery with Samuel Conwright, Jr., Clarence Nash, Ken Taylor, Walter Harrison, Reginald Ellis, Tommy Clayton, Van Harrison and Andrew Ray Deloney serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Austin, Young, LaModrick Johnson, Daniel Nash, Reginald Ellis, Jr., Tarion Akins, Trey Conwright, Carson Lyde, DeKevian Smith, Derrick Smith, Isaiah Akins and Elyjah Conwright. There will be no formal visitation. Pearl passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Carriage House Manor. Pearl was born on December 25, 1925 in Hopkins County the daughter of Goree Pogue and Lela Wright Pogue. Pearl was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Genever Pogue of DeSoto, Joyce Ellis of Paris and Jennifer Conwright of Lancaster, grandchildren, Ann Spivey (Chris), Sandra Nash (Clarence), Donna Sammons, Kawana Smith, Derrick Smith, Reginald Ellis (Camilla), Tamique Akins, Samuel Conwright, Jr., and Brittney Conwright, 23 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death her parents, daughters, Brady Smith and Lela Mae Wade, sisters, Queenie Ruth Harrison, Mattie Lou Deloney and Clarene Harris, brothers, Charles Pogue and Goree Pogue, Jr., and one grandson, Eldrion Ellis.
