Obituary of Melvin Williams

Funeral services for Melvin Williams, age 60, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 25, 2017 at New Beginnings Fellowship Baptist Church, Wilton Mac Morris, Pastor and Dr. Harold B. Nash, officiating.

Interment will follow at East Caney Cemetery with Terry Mosely, T.P. Person, Marcus Hood, Joe Dan Dial, Kelvin Debase, and Tony Taylor serving as pallbearers. 

Mr. Williams passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, TX.

He was born in Kansas City Missouri, the son of O.D. and Jessie Williams.

Mr. Williams graduated Sulphur Springs High School Class of 1976 and retired from Wingo Feed Mill.

Survivors include, daughter, MeRita Kennedy of Pittsburgh, TX, sisters, LaTonya Williams, Shirley Williams, Sharon Palmer, Mary Ann Jones all of Kansas City, Missouri, and Deborah Edwards of Sulphur Springs, TX.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Reginald, Michael, and O.D. Williams Jr., sister, Willie “Mae” Williams, and niece, Robin Hood.
