Obituary of Bennie Clayton

Funeral services for Bennie Mack Clayton, 75, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Edward Walker Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at St. Luke Cemetery with Weldon Wright, Edward Walker, Mickey W. Walker, Wayne Moore, Donta Clayton, and Jermaine Chisom serving as pallbearers. There will be no formal visitation. Bennie passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at his residence. He was born on October 28, 1938 in Sulphur Springs to Henry and Hallie Mae (Wright) Clayton. He was a member of Prairie Hill CME Church and worked in the service department of Price Ford for many years. Bennie married Rudy Dale Wade and she preceded him in death. He is survived by sisters, Edith N. Knighten of Sulphur Springs, Gloria Clayton of Sulphur Springs, Anita Walker of Longview, five nephews, two nieces, three aunts, and a host of cousins.
