Henry and I grew up in the same neighborhood, went to the Houston Elementary School all the way through High School together. He and I were riding the see-saw in 2nd grade and he 'bumped' me and I fell and knocked a tooth out. It grew back in crooked and is still that way today. He and I were life-long friends and I have good memories of him. Comfort and peace to the entire family.

I love you Dad, always have and always will. You taught me about hard work and character building. You showed me that nothing is handed to you in this world, but pride is earned when you work for something. I will treasure you calling me "Bird" and kissing me on my forehead with your pokey whiskers. Together you and I built my very first car, my dream car that I had spoke about since I was 5 years old, a '66 Ford Mustang. Through the blood, sweat and tears you showed me how to work under the hood of that car and we searched for parts together at Swap Meets. Moments I will always cherish. Last week Charlie and I were hanging out with you discussing the not so fun part of life... death, not knowing that we would be saying goodbye to you any time soon. We had a fantastic few days together. Smiles were exchanged, laughs were heard, inside jokes talked about and knowledge was given. These are the precious moments that carried me through September 17, 2017 at 2:07 am when my Dad, Henry Hill, my hero, left this world. Charlie and I were by your side holding your hands. Our hearts will forever be changed and broken for the ache we have for you Dad. The Dad I always loved and the Papa my girls cherished. Dad, I am missing you so much...the tears flow from my eyes uncontrollably for the moments we shared and the moments left yet to be discovered. The jack of all trades and man I knew could do anything he ever tried to do... I love you. Love, Bird

Charlie & Susan, In addition too sending flowers too the funeral....we as a family wanted too let you both know we have known your dad since grade school!! All of our lives for that matter! We were deeply saddened by the news of his passing! Henry was a very good man! Henry's legacy shows in both Charlie and Susan! Charlie is a very noble, highly respectful, good mannered man....that you don't find in this day and time! Susan is a beautiful woman, great mom, educated & super creative! As for Henry's legacy it shows in the children he raised and the hard work he displayed all his life! Henry will be missed greatly!!! We are so glad, that you kids got too spend time with Henry prior too the Lord calling him home! Billie we are very sorry about the loss of your mother and husband! Our prayers are with you all! Was looking forward to these coming months ahead - Decatur, Traders Village, Canton, DFW at Horse Track, and especially HERSHEY... I appreciate all you have done for me and taught me over the years. Was looking forward to many more years doing what we do, but apparently that was not the plan. So, so very glad you, Susan and I were able to have such a good week together last week, great times. I love ya, Hillbilly, and this parting was WAY to soon!
