Obituary of Doyle Shaw

Funeral services for Doyle D. Shaw, age 68, of Cumby, TX will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 15, 2013 at First Baptist Church in the Spence Chapel with Rev. Mark Bryant officiating. Interment will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville, TX, with Burt Williams, Brady Williams, Jerry Lynn Petty, James Robert Coffman, Blake Shaw, Cody Shaw, Lamon Shaw and Josh Sperry serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Williams, Jeff Williams, Travis Furguson, and Bryan Steward . Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Saturday, December 14, 2013 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mr. Shaw passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Shaw was born on October 6, 1945 in Clarksville, TX, the son of William Fred and Chleo (Taylor) Shaw. He married Emma Williams on June 6, 1964 in Greenville, TX. Mr. Shaw worked for Mrs. BairdÂ’s Bread for over 34 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Emma Shaw, he is survived by two sons, Doyle D. Shaw, Jr. of Tyler and Christopher A. Shaw of Mesquite, sister, Jane Petty and husband Jerry, 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Danny Shaw, sister, Mary Lou Coffman, brother, Glen Shaw and 2 infant sisters.
