Obituary of Charles West
Charles Wayne West was born January 1, 1939 in Leesburg, TX to the late Jim West and Velma Smart West. He received his formal education from Center Point Preparatory in Pittsburg, TX and later attended Dunbar High School in Lubbock, TX.
He accepted Christ at an early age and united with Independent Hope Baptist Church, Bolton Community.
Charles worked as a mechanic and various other jobs, very skillful in his work. He loved helping people and had a genuine love for life and family.
Preceded in death by loving grandparents who help to raise him, Harry Smart and Lillie Smart. Three sisters, Virginia White, De Loise Taylor, and Betty Richardson. Three brothers, R.C. West, Wallace West, and John West.
He leaves to cherish his memories, son, William “Fussy” West, granddaughter, Parker West, sisters, Mozelle Ford and husband Lonnie of Como, TX, Nadene Bowser, of Newport News, VA, Wanda Williams and husband Jim of Las Vegas, Nevada, aunt, Willie Ruth Priestly and husband Clarence of Lubbock, TX, uncle, Chancle Smart and wife June of Kansas City, Missouri and a host of relatives and friends.
