Obituary of Tony Cooper
Tony Cooper passed peacefully at his home May 26, 2017, in Sulphur Springs, TX. Tony Cooper was born July 17, 1956 in Sulphur Springs, TX He was a faithful member of Olive Branch Baptist Church, Pastor Leon Gossett. Those who knew Tony Cooper, each have their own memories to cherish. The word of God says, weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
Predeceased by his loving wife Martha Jo in 2002. He leaves to cherish his memories; daughter Bridgette Cooper Maddox (Benard) of Dallas, TX, and son Stephen Johnson (Regina) of Jacksonville, Florida. Grandchildren: Truth, Legacy’e, Kimbre (Bridgette), Jenesia, Jamari, Raegin (Stephen). Siblings: Diann Margadonna of Sulphur Springs, TX, Randy Cooper (Gina) of Quinlan, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
In addition to his wife he was also preceded in death by his parents; Arthur “AJ” and Arthur Lean Cooper. His grandparents; Arthur Cooper Sr and Ella Mae Cooper Lewis, Curley and Fannie Lou Harper. His great grandparents Walter Clay and Lela-Rape-Clay. His sister, Brenda Lou Harper, brothers, David Cooper “Chopper” and Robert Cooper. His nephew David Cooper Jr.
Respected pall bearers: David Johnson, Stephen Johnson, Reggie Thomas, Demetrius Pryor, Hamilton Green, and Daniel Cooper.
Interment will be at Mel Haven Cemetery.
