Obituary of Brice Gregg

Funeral services for Brice Duane Gregg, 85, of Como, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 4, 2017 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jimmy Henry officiating. Military Honors by the Hopkins County Military Coalition will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with family serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 3, 2017 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Brice passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Home Place Hospice of East Texas in Tyler. He was born on May 16, 1931, the son of Clyde Otto and Ethel Albright Gregg. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and retired as a print shop supervisor for E-Systems in Garland. He was also of the Baptist faith and deeply spiritual. He is survived by son, Rod Gregg and wife Jackie of Rockwall, brothers, Dan Gregg and wife Nina of Houston, Joe Gregg and wife Ann of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, sister, Patricia Deuhr and husband Michael of Dubuque, IA, and his longtime companion, Shirley Long Threlkeld of Como. He loved his nieces and nephews, Tammy Waller, Kim Guidry, Steve Stephens, Pitney Gregg, Shannon Gregg-Wooldridge, Chad Gregg, David Gregg, David Long, Tonja Hughes, and Jo Ann Gregg-Leach. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jimmy Clyde Gregg. Flowers are welcome, but in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of East Texas at www.hospiceofeasttexas.org.
