I'll never forget meeting Doris at her home while with my dearest friend Brad. It was around Christmas time in 1985 and Brad & I went to get a Christmas Tree for Christmas. Doris & I were laughing as we decorated the tree and trying to attempt to sing Christmas songs. Doris was one of the most kind people that I have ever met and we spent many a time on the phone just talking about girl talk and animals. Doris had a great sense of humor too. I'll also never forget the times we fed a calf who's mother would not feed. What joy we had with something as simple as feeding a sweet calf. I'll remember her kindness, her warmth and her smile forever in my heart. Doris carried a bright light that shined on all that came to know her. She is deeply missed. My deepest condolences to Roger, Brad, Scott and family. RIP Sweet Angel. <3

Words are so inadequate... the service was beautiful and the video keepsake so special. To capture a person's spirit is difficult to do, and from my perspective you all did a wonderful job doing just that. The journey has had its ups and down, but my prayer is that the sweet memories indeed comfort you and bring you peace. As the Pastor said, you all took the best care of Aunt Doris and her spirit was blessed by that care. I am so sorry for your loss, I can only pray that having some family there with you has brought you comfort and I pray the love and warm thoughts being sent to you all by those not able to travel in, affirms that her life was meaningful and impacted all who knew her. I will always think of her beauty and grace.. Again, I am so very sorry for your loss and I will pray that these next weeks are filled with the support you need. With much love, Marlene

My Aunt Doris was an amazing women who exemplified grace and strength. She loved her family fiercely. She also loved animals and her menagerie of pets was a testament to this love. She had the best sense of humor and loved to cut up with my Grandma. The two of them shared a bond that was beyond words. I take comfort in knowing that the two of them are reunited and I can almost hear Aunt Doris saying "Now, Momma....". She was one of a kind and will be greatly missed.

God bless Doris' soul. She was the BEST Big Sister a boy could ever have!
Doris always shared her intelligence - beauty - and that caring touch that came from deep within. She was so kind and patient to all who knew her. She was a fine southern lady - fiercely protective of her family with a huge soft spot in her heart for anyone in need.
This week has been a roller coaster of emotions. Sadness for loosing her and then relief that she is free from the torture of her illness.
We pray that Roger, Brad, and Scot find peace in their loss. We will remember what a special lady she is and find some solace in knowing she is sitting in a big swing with Nell under a big oak tree enjoying each other's laughter for eternity.

To the family of Doris L. Clark-especially Uncle Roger, Bradley and Scott- my deepest sympathies with your loss~ I remember Aunt Doris fondly as being a gentle woman, filled with grace, patience, and possessing tremendous class.
I am so sorry that distance prevented us from being closer over these last many years, but I know that my beautiful Aunt Doris is no longer suffering any disability and that she is at peace with her Creator now.
I pray that the Lord Jesus Christ comforts and guides all those whom know and love my Aunt Doris- one day at a time, one memory at a time as we all grieve her passing.
Rest in peace for all eternity Aunt Doris...and thank you for your many kindnesses to me when I was much younger. You will not be forgotten!
Love your niece,
Kim <3

My mother was the most wonderful, classy lady, mom and teacher that i could have ever asked for. My Dad and Mom were married in 1955 after they met at a Military Officers Ball given to honor Air Force cadets (my dad),they had me as their first son in 1957. My mother and i spent a lot of time together as my Dad pursued a career as an Air Force Aviator. As dad would fly all over the world on Strategic Air Command duties we would sit patiently for his safe return while he was helping protect our country. My mother was strong and patient. She spent most oh her time insuring i was raised correctly with good morals, character and kept safe. As the years progressed in her life she had fulfilling career opportunities that she loved to pursue, such as being a teacher. Mom graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio majoring in English Literature. She landed a job as an English Teacher at the High School level where she loved to teach young minds the correct way to use the English language properly.LOL.She spent 8 years pursuing that with passion. Her students loved her kindness, patience and knowledge. My mom loved life to the fulliest.Later in life she was stricken with Alzheimers and slowly started her transition into the next life, which suddenly occured January 17th 2017. I will miss my mom with all my heart and i hope she has risen to a higher level of life that i will long to join her in when its my time. Your loving son Brad, please rest in peace. You are my light.

I will remember you... Will you remember me... As a Military Wife and mom not to mention living so far apart I really did not get to spend much time with you. However, through the many phone chats and not so frequent visits I will always remember your most sofest southern bell voice, your natural beauty and style of dignified class. I am thankful and will cherish that in the most recent years we got to spend more time together visiting, chatting and enjoying a glass or two of wine. Through your illness your capablity to verbally communicate was limited and yet the most special bond I felt with you was through actions that spoke louder than any words ever could. Combing your hair, assisting you with a small glass of wine and remembering your face as we chat, your eyes where the windows to your soul. As sad as I am of you no longer with us.. I have to admit a smile comes upon my face when I vision on what a beautiful, graceful, classy angel you must be. I will not say goodbye.. I will simply say until we meet again. Love Your Niece, Tracy
