Obituary of Helen Fulton

Graveside service for Helen Louise Fulton, age 99, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston, TX with Bro. Wayne McKay officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Helen passed away Friday, December 2, 2016 at CHRISTUS Mother Frances in Sulphur Springs. She was born on September 17, 1917 in Palestine, TX, daughter of Robert Fulton and Mary Louise McCaffrey Fulton. Helen received her Masters Degree and was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. Helen was an educator at Spring Branch ISD for 40 years, then taught ESL to Vietnamese congregation at First Church Heights formerly the Norhill Baptist Church. She opened her home to many who needed a place to stay, friends of her great-nephews Chris and Bryan O’Neill. She is survived by nieces, Sue Farrow O’Neill of Gilmer, Tree Farrow Carter of Midlothian, VA, Margaret Fields of Katy, TX and nephew Ben Fields of Katy, TX, 5 great- nephews, 1 great- niece, and 6 great-great-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Dorothy Fulton, and Mary E. Farrow and brother-in-law Vernon Farrow.
