Obituary of LeRoy Jackson, Jr.
Leroy Jackson Jr. was a product of a union of love between Leroy Jackson Sr. and Joan Jackson. He was born on December 15, 1952 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Leroy graduated from I.M. Terrell High School in 1971 and attended Ranger College prior to being drafted into the United States Army. He served for many years in
the military which included serving in the Vietnam War.
On June 5, 1994, Leroy entered into holy matrimony with Candace Diane Hobson. They remained a loving couple until his departure.
Leroy was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, coach, friend and most importantly a believer in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He loved coaching basketball and softball more than anything.
Having completed his journey here on earth, he was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Paul Jackson. Cherishing in his memories he leaves a loving wife: Candace of Sulphur Springs, Texas; children: Andrea Hobson (Roderick) of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Faith McVay (William) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Terrance Hobson (Veronica) of Sulphur Springs, Texas and Elicia Hobson of Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters: Marilyn Akins and Terrie Booker, both of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren: Brandon, Byron, Jamal, Adayah, Jace, Dai’Shawn, Jamya, William and Xavier; three great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, family and friends.
