Obituary of Larry Alan Jenkins

Funeral services for Larry Alan Jenkins, age 66, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 11, 2016 at Como United Methodist Church with Rev. Beverly Olsen officiating. Interment will follow at Richland Cemetery with Gary Stuart, Billy Murphy, Larry Pierson, John Poskey, Jason Gilbreath and David Strain serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2016 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Larry passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Rock Creek Health and Rehab. Larry was born on December 12, 1949 in Dallas, TX, the son of Billy Jerrell Jenkins and Florence Jeanine Day Jenkins. He married Jill Armilla Pence on July 27, 1977 in Ardmore, OK. She survives. Larry worked for Coca-Cola for twenty five years. After retiring from Coca-Cola he owned and operated The Lawn Ranger and The Chimney Sweep. Larry was of the Methodist faith. In addition to his wife he is survived by sons, Clint Jenkins and wife Judy of Princeton, Billy “BJ” Jenkins and wife Martha of Sulphur Springs, sisters, Sandi Pierson and husband Larry of Sulphur Springs and Linda Pruitt of Mesquite, grandchildren, Tyler and Austin Jenkins of Sulphur Springs and Peyton and Cullen Jenkins of Princeton, along with several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Jerrell Jenkins, step-father and mother Bill Pruitt and Jeanine (Jenkins) Pruitt, and grandmother, Myrle “Ma” Burns.
