Obituary of Thomas Billodeau

Thomas Richard Billodeau, 65, of Sulphur Springs, Texas passed away peacefully on Friday, November 1, 2013. His loving wife, Sandra Billodeau, to whom he was married for 41 years was by his side. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, Tom and Sandy made a beautiful life together in Texas for the last 30 years. Tom also leaves behind his children, of whom he was extremely proud, Justin Billodeau and his wife, Allison of Austin and Jessa Newman and her husband, Mike of Pearland and 5 beautiful and busy grandchildren, Greyson and Grant Billodeau, and Brady, Blain and Cole Newman. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Steve Evasius of Belfast, Maine, his mother-in-law, Norma Doucette and his brothers-in-law, Jeffrey and Gregory Doucette. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Susie and Richard Billodeau and his sister, Marilyn Williams. He was a strong and quiet man, deeply devoted to his family. He never missed an opportunity to help a friend in need and cherished the people most close to him. The family will receive friends for visitation from 2:00-3:00 pm immediately followed by a memorial service from 3:00-4:00 pm on Sunday, November 3, 2013, at West Oaks Funeral Home at 500 S Hillcrest Drive, in Sulphur Springs, Texas, with Bro. Joel Tiemeyer and David Brewer officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Mac Glaess, Frank Bauer, Michael Newman, Robert “Butch” Newman, Nelson Dixon, Joe Mills, Hendric Dewitt. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Tom’s name to the National Parkinson’s Foundation at www.parkinsons.org or 1501 N.W. 9th Avenue, Miami, FL 33136-1494.
