Obituary of Jean Wren

Funeral services for Jean Delores Crawford Wren, 79, of Irving, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 1, 2013 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hoyt Scoggins officiating. Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery in Sulphur Springs with Terry Truett, Jr., Michael Truett, Zachary Cobb, Nicholas Cobb, Adam Truett, and Jeff Wren serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Paul Wright, Scott Wren, and Clinton Lennon. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., prior to service time. Jean passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Baylor Medical Center of Irving. She was born on June 20, 1934 in Luke, Maryland, the daughter of James T. and Sarah Elizabeth Metcalf Crawford. She married Billy Wren in Piedmont, West Virginia in 1957. He survives. She retired after 30 years from her in home daycare business. She was a member of the New Shirley Baptist Church, a former member of the Eastern Star, and the Irving Elk DoeÂ’s. In addition to her husband, Jean is also survived by her son, Tim Wren and wife Brenda of Irving, daughters, Pam Truett and husband Terry of Bromide, Ok, Julie Cobb and husband Kirk of Allen, TX, Amy McLeod and husband Casey of Prosper, TX, brothers, James Patrick (Bud) Crawford of Westernport, MD, Curtis Crawford and wife Louise of Keyser, West Virginia, Ed Crawford and wife Carol of Springtown, TX, Fred Crawford and wife Mary Ann of Piedmont, West Virginia, Darrell Crawford and wife Pam of Mesquite, TX, grandchildren, Terry Lynn Truett, Jr., Michael Truett, Shelly Holubec, Zachary Cobb, Nicholas Cobb, Macy McLeod, great-grandchildren, Adam Truett, Ellis Wren Truett, Noah Truett, Katie Blackshear, and Henley Holubec.
