Obituary of Dorthy Hurley

Funeral services for Dorothy Nell Rhodes Hurley, age 89, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 26, 2013 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Fred Lewis, Rev. C. J. Duffey and Michael McNiel officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Cody Mize, Lane Phillips, Michael McNiel, Robert Dodd, Brad Dodd and Jason Diaz serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 prior to service time at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mrs. Hurley passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Sunny Springs Nursing Home. Mrs. Hurley was born on July 31, 1924 in Hopkins County the daughter of Elmer and Annie (Davidson) Rhodes. She married Wayne Hurley on April 28, 1954 at Union Baptist Church. He preceded her in death on January 28, 2010. Mrs. Hurley was a homemaker and worked as a grocery cashier for many years. She was a member of the Radio Bible Class at First Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, William Paul Dodd and wife Joyce of Tira, daughter, June Dickey and husband Stan of Sulphur Springs, brother Charles Rhodes of Shirley, grandchildren, Michael McNiel, Tonja Dodd Jones, Robert Wayne Dodd, Brad Dodd and wife Tanya, Cathy Phillips and Jeannie Mize, 11 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren.
