Dear Alice and Family, I was so heart broken to hear Don passed away. He and I had a bond since we were teenagers (65 yrs). I know he is in heaven now. Alice I haven't known you very long but I think you and Don were a beautiful couple, it seemed like you were very much in love with each other. I know I will think of him many times because it was through his prayers and the talks we had that influenced me to take Jesus Christ as my lord and savior. I know I will meet with him again in haven. Love, Monte and Dianne McILroy

Dear Alice, Please accept my sincere condolences. I am sad to hear of your sudden loss. I reflect on the many good times and missions Don and I shared together while flying with the 40th Troop Carrier Squadron, Evreux-Fauville Air Base, France. Don was an exceptional pilot, and will be sorely missed. May the Dear Lord comfort you in your time of grief. With my deepest sympathy,

Dear Alice, Don's home going was a big surprise to all but he would not want to return to sinful earth after being in the presence of the Lord. Since we are but one heart beat from eternity each day we should all be prepared as Don was. While his departure brings sorry on earth he is rejoicing and will never face pain and suffering. Although we have known you both only a short time our hearts are heavy and we are praying God will bless you with His peace, comfort, strength and guidance in the days ahead.

Alice, I was so glad Don contacted me when you settled in Sulphur Springs. A couple of months ago he came to Coppell and spent the day with Joe Lyon and me. We had a chance to catch up on your lives and share stories about some old pranks and experiences. Don was a good man and fun to be with. He will be remembered and missed.

Dear Alice, Fred & I are so sad about Don's death--it leaves an empty place in our hearts; however, we are comforted to know he is now in Heaven with Jesus. We enjoyed the time we spent with both of you in Panama: Alice's Bible study, Thanksgiving and dinners at your home. Alice, our prayers are with you and your family. Love & blessings
