Obituary of Delbert Lee Tully

Funeral services for Delbert Lee Tully, age 74, of Saltillo will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Friday officiating. Interment will follow at Weaver Cemetery with Aaron Edwards, Joey McCoy, Brian Beadle, Joe McCoy, Russell Stillwagoner and Ron Mayberry serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mr. Tully passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Carriage House Manor. Mr. Tully was born on November 17, 1939 in Galveston, TX, the son of Verdis and Dovie Lee (Broughton) Tully. He married Sharon Kay Peek on June 10, 1961 in Weaver. She preceded him in death. Mr. Tully was a Dairyman and was County Commissioner in Hopkins County. He was a member of Weaver Baptist Church. He is survived by his children, Tana Edwards of Saltillo, Leanda McCoy and husband Joe of Como, Delana Beadle and husband Brian of Saltillo and Chip Tully and wife Laura of Saltillo, sisters, Sue Johnston and Rhonda Williams, grandchildren, Crystal Edwards Stillwagoner, Aaron Edwards, Joey McCoy, Megan McCoy, Dillon Beadle, Jonas Beadle, Trey Tully and Jackson Tully, great-grandchildren, Mason and Colton Stillwagoner. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Sharber. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Saltillo ISD Scholarship Fund through Alliance Bank.
