Obituary of LeeRoy Luna

Funeral service for LeeRoy Flores Luna, 58, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 6, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home with Danny Ballard and Rudy Luna officiating. Interment will follow at Sulphur Springs City Cemetery with Randy Luna, Noel Luna, Gilbert Tito Luna, Eddie Luna, Shawn Arthur, and Lee Ramos serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Spring Village Barber Shop. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 5, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mr. Luna passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 9, 1956 in Crosbyton, TX, to Cecilio and Rebeca Flores Luna. He married Martha Aranda on May 9, 1991 in Sulphur Springs, TX. She survives. Mr. Luna was a longtime barber working 30 years at Spring Village Barber Shop. He was loved by many in Hopkins County and never once met a stranger. He was a member of Full Gospel House of Prayer in Sulphur Springs. In addition to his wife, Martha Luna, he is also survived by sons, Ricky Latham and wife Tasha Lorta of Sulphur Springs, LeeRoy C. Luna of Sulphur Springs, David Luna and wife Kelsey McGowin of Dallas, daughters, Stephanie Ervin and husband Robbie of Concord, NC, Rebbecca Luna of Sulphur Springs, Althea Luna of Wichita Falls, grandchildren, Ty Latham, Andrew Latham, Kylah Latham, Lilyanah Latham, Landyn Latham, Abraham Luna, brothers, Rudy Luna and wife Benina of San Angelo, Ruben Luna and wife Maria of Lufkin, David Luna and wife Belen of Ogden, UT, Cecil Luna of Sulphur Springs, Joe Luna and wife Hope of Mt. Pleasant, TX, Adam Luna and wife Shelli of Megargel, TX, Gilbert Luna and wife Ida of Ft. Worth, TX, sisters, Irene Pecina and husband Paul of Abilene, Marcie Arthur and husband John of Sulphur Springs, and Yolanda Luna of Sulphur Springs. He was preceded in death by his parents.
