Obituary of William Reed

Funeral services for William Junior Reed, age 69, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 23, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Keller and Rev. Neal Cochran officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeway Cemetery with Mark Reed, Richard Reed, Ricky Reed, Roger Reed, Steve Reed and Paul Reed serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Vititow and Buddy Gore. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 22, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mr. Reed passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Reed was born on December 2, 1944 in Hopkins County, TX, the son of Marvin R and Mary Leona (Keller) Reed. He married Tommie Ellen Goldsmith on February 17, 1962. She survives. Mr. Reed worked for Dallas Auto Convoy for over 30 years. He was a member of Wylie Baptist Church. He is survived by his father, Marvin R. Reed of Sulphur Springs, brothers, Paul Reed of Bellmead, TX, Steve Reed, Ricky Reed, Roger Reed, Richard Reed, Mark Reed, Bobby Keller, Jerry Keller all of Sulphur Springs, sisters, Peggy Brzeski of Sulphur Springs, Betty Long of Garland, Rhonda Falls of Dike, and Helen Baskin of Sulphur Springs, sister-in-law, Ava Chester of Emory, dearest children, niece and nephew, Allyssa and Cory Brown of Emory. He was preceded in death by his mother, brother, Loyd Ray Reed and sister, Mary Jane Medina. Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home. www.westoaksfuneralhome.com
