Obituary of Dorothy Dean Cave
Funeral services for Dorothy Dean Wright Cave, 89, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Charles Groce of the Church of God International officiating. Interment will follow at Yantis Cemetery with Zachary Wright, B.J. Wright, James Davis, Shannon Beech, Christopher Blackwell, and Danny Wallace serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Jim (B.J.) Bayuk. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 7, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mrs. Cave passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at her residence. She was born on February 8, 1925 in Wichita Falls, TX, the daughter of Vernon Hollie and Eva Mae Ward Wright. She married Virgil Mac Cave on January 7, 1947 at Wellington, TX. They worked together at Southwestern Explosives for over 22 years and enjoyed their retirement together until his death on January 3, 1995. Dorothy Dean Wright Cave lived her life with dignity and grace, and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Cave is survived by her nieces; Linda (J.D.) Prosise of Kempner, Debra Wright of Chicago, Mary Smith of Hickman, CA, Sherry Little of Odessa, Norma (Bill) Beech and Diane (Bobby) Blackwell of Quitman, nephews; Bobby Wright of Miller Grove, James (Debbie) Davis of Jefferson, Hugh Dwayne (Carol) Smith of Gilroy, CA, Michael (Maryhelen) Smith of Modesto, CA, Gary (Donna) Davis of Killeen, Henry Davis of Longview, Bobby Cave and Larry Cave of Odessa, Danny Wallace of Midland, and Kyle Cave of Garland, cousins; Fred (Roberta) McCauley, Danny (Janie) McCauley of Sulphur Springs, Billy Paul Wright, Marcel Stroud, Kenneth (Marjorie) Ward, Jack Ward, and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, Hollie "Sonny" Wright, Vernon Parnell Wright, sisters, Naomi Rose Smith, and Norma Jean Davis.
