Obituary of Cathy Tallant

Anna Catherine Tallant went to be with her Savior on Mother’s Day, May 11, 2014. She was surrounded by her loving family in her final days. She was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed nature, birds, and her flowers, and adored her grandchildren. Cathy faced each battle with her multiple sclerosis with determination and bravery. Service to celebrate the life and memory of Cathy will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 17, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Reilly Springs Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 16, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Cathy was born to Merle Frazier White and Jesse Gilbert (JG) White on May 4, 1947 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Father, JG White and brother, Keith White preceded her in death. She is survived by her mother, Merle Frazier White of Sulphur Springs, daughter, Elaine Wells and spouse Jeff Wells of Sulphur Springs, son John Dwayne Tallant and spouse Tina Douglas Tallant of Winona. Grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Marcus Wells, Michael Wells and special friend Ashlee Hall, Katelyn Tallant, Brendan Tallant, Garrett Wells, and Brody Wells, and cousin W.G. White.
