Gerry was my first cousin and he and I share the same middle name because my Mom, Gary's Aunt, named me after him. And because of that he will always have a special place in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and hopefully knowing that he is no longer suffering and in the arms of Jesus will give you peace and comfort. I wish I could have been there today but it was just not possible for me to do so but just know that I was there in spirit. I love you Gerry and I know that I will see you again in Heaven!!

I am so thankful for that wonderful Summer You and Aundrea took Shelli and I in. That was the first time I ever made mud pies, wore a cape like a superhero- because Michael did- I wanted to too! The smell of pine trees still makes me think of you! I love you and look forward to getting caught up when I get to heaven!

Gerry is an important part of my childhood (Jr. High) memories. As we rode the rollercoaster at the state fair, he bravely held on to me while I screamed and screamed. So it doesn't surprise me that he was brave enough to be the Fire Chief. My prayers are offered on behalf of all in his family.
