Obituary of Learnette Petty

Learnette Petty was born December 31, 1953 to Wallace and Mattie Mae Carter in Como, TX. Mrs. Petty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Petty passed away on August 12, 2013. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 45 years Raymond Charles Petty, Sr. of Pickton, TX, children, Nichole Petty Cooks of Wylie, TX, Saundra Lewis and her husband Hersean of Pickton, TX, Victoria Marshall and her husband Alphonse of Forney, TX, Tiffany Ochoa and her husband Carlos of Pickton, TX, and Raymond Charles Petty, II, of Dallas, TX, nephew James Carter of Como, TX, and 10 grandchildren, her sister Edna Lacey of Dallas, TX, her brothers Fred Wallace of Rockwall, TX, Jeffrey Carter of Pittsburgh, TX, Larry Joe Carter of Como, TX, and Harold Carter of Como, TX, and a host of nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tamula L. Petty and both of her parents. Visitation will be Wednesday August 21, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at West Oaks Funeral Home and a private graveside service will be at Caney Cemetery.
