Obituary of Ruth Morrison

Ruth Morrison was born on February 22, 1943. In Shreveport Louisiana to Olena B. Wade and Thomas E. Schneider. She passed away on April 21, 2013 in Tyler, Texas. She was proceeded in death by her husband ,Fred Morrison, step-son, Gary Morrison, grandson Clay Rogers, brother, Billie Schneider, sister, Mary Fulton.She is survived by 2 children, Robert Huggett and wife Jenise, Rachelle Rogers and husband Brad, 4 grandchildren, Rob, Clanay, Kenzi, Kaden, 2 great grandchildren Cadence, Allie, sister, Elsie Harrison and many nieces and nephews whom she adored.Ruth spent the majority of her working career in the Texas Public School System ensuring quality food and nutritional programs for our children. She loved working with and providing service to the students and genuinely loved her occupation.She never met a stranger , even the people in the check-out line after shopping, became like family. Boy, will we miss these moments. She was always good for a laugh no matter the situation. Her zest for life was infectious and she always picked up those around her who might be down. Ruth loved getting dressed up and amassed quite a collection of jewelry and apparel, which we joked often, resulted in many record volume years of profit for Bealls, Wal-Mart and local merchantsJThat hearty humor, quick smile, Texas “twang” and deep love for her family will be missed. Ruthie has left a legion of friends who were also such an important part of her life. The world was a better place to have had her among us for 70 years. WE LOVE YOU AND WILL MISS YOU DEARLY.....
