Obituary of Daniel Goldsmith

Funeral services for Daniel “Danny” W. Goldsmith, age 51, of Brashear will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Spence Chapel, First Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Lewis and Rev. Jim Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Aiguier Cemetery with Jason Goldsmith, Jeremy Goldsmith, Dave Evans, Mike Massey, Shawn Massey and Jimmy Horrocks. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeffery Goldsmith, Bo Smith, Eddy Horrocks and Steve Dodd. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., one hour prior to service time at the church. Danny passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Carriage House Manor. Danny was born on November 24, 1961 in Greenville, TX, the son of Jerry Wayne Goldsmith and Helen Bryant Barker. Danny loved to hunt and fish and ride horses. He was an excellent outdoor grill cook. He was a welder and made all sorts of beautiful creations with his welder. Danny is survived by his mother, brother, Jeff Goldsmith and wife Jena, Jason Goldsmith, Jeremy Goldsmith, sister Rhonda Johnson and husband Rhett, sons, Brandon White, Rance and Cole Bennett, grandchildren, Gabriell, Rylee and Coleson, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, step-father, Tommy E. Barker, grandparents, Ernest and Dollie Pace Goldsmith and Henry and Easter Ely Bryant, his soul mate of 14 years Brenda Kay Bennett.
