Obituary of Sue Lindley

Funeral services for Sue Lindley, age 77, of Brashear will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Brashear Baptist Church with Rev. David Burns officiating. Interment will follow at Cumby Cemetery with Jon Bell, Austin Bell, Carley Everett, Mark Heisler, Adrian Bustos and Darren Porter serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 prior to service time at the church. Mrs. Lindley passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Lindley was born on January 15, 1936 in Cumby, TX, the daughter of Lauwana Alfred “Buck” Martin and Ruby (Nichols) Martin. She married David Glen Lindley on August 28, 1954 in Commerce. He survives. Mrs. Lindley retired from Continental Insurance after 32 years as a claims adjuster. She also worked as a school secretary for Miller Grove ISD and for Gabbert’s Furniture as a secretary. Mrs. Lindley was a member of Brashear Baptist Church. In addition to her husband she is survived by two sisters, Linda Davis of Cumby and Paula Everett of Tyler along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
