Obituary of Raymond Sanford
Funeral service for Raymond Lee “Pepper” Sanford, Jr.,74, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, August 22, 2013 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Pete Adrian and Rev. Debbie Riggsby officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mr. Sanford passed away on Friday, August 16, 2013 at his residence. He was born August 31, 1938 in Tulsa, OK to Raymond Lee and Myrtle Irene (Rinehart) Sanford. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Stephen’s Ministry, and The Messenger’s Class. He worked as a Director of Logistics for Plum Creek Timber in Montana. He was married to Rosemary for 22 years and from that union they had 1 son and 2 daughters. In 1981 he married Sondra “Sandy” Sanford, she preceded him in death. He is survived by sons; Scott Sanford and wife Kimberly of Frisco, Sam Carter and wife, Sabrina of Mesquite, daughters; Suzanne Sanford of Dallas, Stephanie Kaufert and husband, Bobby of Sulphur Springs; sister, SueAnn Darling and husband, Cliff of Corpus Christi, grandchildren; Tanner Hux, Kyle Hux, Alex Hux, Kelsey Kaufert, Cameron Kaufert, John Bug Carter, Luke Carter, and Jason Carter.
