Obituary of David Wright

Graveside service for David Ronnie Wright, 66, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 9 a.m., Friday, February 15, 2013 at the DFW National Cemetery with Chaplin Brian Padelford officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Wright, Tom Wright, Jim Thompson, and Elvin Bell. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, February 14, 2013 at West Oaks Funeral Home. David passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at his residence. He was born on May 12, 1946 in Borger, TX, the son of John Franklin and Mildred Virginia Wright. He served as a Sergeant in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1968. He later worked as a truck driver and retired in 2005. David married Teresa OÂ’Neal on February 23, 1978. She survives. He was a member of the Dike First Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by daughters, Dione Wright, Stephanie Weatherly and husband Mark of Anna, sons, Michael David Wright, Steven Underwood and wife Gabby of Frisco, Doug Underwood and wife Sandy of Wichita Falls, brothers, Tommy Wright and wife Sharon of New Braunfels, Bill Wright and wife Trisha of Garland, sisters, Nancy Thompson and husband Jim of Plano, Margie Love and husband Ken of Wichita Falls, grandchildren, Erika Castorina and husband Alex, Briana Weatherly, Adam Weatherly and wife Beckki, Blake Underwood, Morgan Underwood, Caitlynn Underwood, Sean Underwood, Jacob Underwood, and great-grandchildren, Bella Voss and Mason Underwood. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bobby Dean Wright. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.
