Obituary of Everette Alexander

Graveside services for Everette Lee Alexander, Jr., age 82, of Brashear will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Sherley Cemetery with Neal Alexander and David Burns officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, January 26, 2013 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will be the grandchildren. Mr. Alexander passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. Mr. Alexander was born on August 26, 1930 in Sherley Community, the son of Everette Alexander, Sr. and Lula Mae Walker. He married Wanda Nan Barrett on July 7, 1951. She preceded him in death September 23, 2011. Mr. Alexander was the owner and operator of Alexander Truck Repair until his retirement in 2002. Survivors include his son, David Alexander and wife Emily of Brashear, three grandchildren, Kim Self and husband Chris of Brashear, Dan Alexander and wife Rebecca of Sulphur Springs, Neal Alexander and wife Pamela of Sherman, great-grandchildren, Derek and Haylee Millard, Heather, Dalton and Devin Self, Abbie, Ellie, Katie, and Andrew Lee Alexander, Jordan Everette, Samuel, Teah, and Jennah Alexander, and one sister, Eddene Roberts of Brashear. He was preceded in death by his parents and one great grandchild, Krysten Millard. Memorials may be made to Sherley Cemetery, P. O. Box 493, Sulphur Springs, Texas 75482.
