Obituary of Winnie Wright

Funeral services for Winnie Marie Wright, age 92, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 14, 2013 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Sam Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Donald Gadt, Gary Lewis, Billy Wayne Orr, Roger Maynard and Joe Bob Burgin serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Carroll and Bartis “Red” Penny. Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. prior to service time. Mrs. Wright passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Carriage House Manor. Mrs. Wright was born on August 14, 1920 in Hopkins County the daughter of William Webster and Letha Matilda (Key) Maddox. She married J. W. Wright on December 27, 1939 in Yantis, TX. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Wright was a homemaker, seamstress and a member of Wesley Methodist Church. Mrs. Wright is survived by two grandchildren, Michael James Wright and Dianna Rae Statham, great-grandchildren, Amanda Statham, Jessica Statham, James Casey Statham, Crystal Haney, Ashleigh Wright and Shannon Sowles, great-great grandchildren, Ryder Statham, Cyrus Talbott, Ava Grace Stinett, Arianna Gonzales, Lucas Haney, Lilly Haney and Addison Sowles, sister, Vera Carroll. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, James Alvin Wright, sister, Addie Maddox, brothers, Coys Maddox and Quincis Maddox.
