Obituary of Joan Jacobs

Memorial services for Joan Jacobs, age 79, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 20, 2012 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Fred Lewis officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Honorary pallbearers will be James M. Jacobs, John W. Moroney, Todd Daniel, Jerrett Moroney, Coy Layne Jacobs, amy Moroney, Joli Jacobs and Trent Daniel, Posthumus. Mrs. Jacobs passed away Monday, December 17, 2012 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Jacobs was born on July 2, 1933 in Monette, MO, the daughter of Cecil John and Dorothy Lorraine (Chambers) Phillips. She married James Jacobs on March 28, 1969 in Miami, TX. He preceded her in death on October 11, 2001. Mrs. Jacobs was a bookkeeper and a homemaker. She is survived by sons, John Moroney and wife Deborah, Jim Jacobs and wife Diane, daughters, Terese Vanderhaar and Laurie Ferguson, grandchildren, Coy Jacobs, Todd Daniel, Jerrett Moroney, Amy Key, Joli Jacobs, numerous great-grandchildren.
