Obituary of Ruth Hines

Funeral services for Ruth Ivetta Hines, age 93, of Point will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 11, 2013 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jimmy Henry officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, August 10, 2013 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Miller Grove Cemetery with Bobby Castillo, Chad Holden, C. T. Hunt, Clinton Lennon, Eric Mabe and her nephew Mark Watts serving as pallbearers. Ruth passed away Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Hunt County Regional Hospital in Greenville. Ruth was born on November 6, 1919 in Hopkins County the daughter of Robert “B. W.” and Carletta (Henshaw) Watts. Ruth was a talented person and kept busy with ceramics and photography. She worked for Kraft Inc. in Garland for several years. She retired from Gabbert’s Furniture Store in Dallas. After retirement she moved to Point to be closer to her family. Ruth attended church at Point Baptist Church where she was a member. She is survived by her brothers, Edward Watts of Miller Grove, William E. Watts and wife Jackie of Miller Grove, Lewis Dean Watts and wife Shirley of Miller Grove and James Watts and wife Chrysteen of Greenville, she is also survived by several nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Jerry Hines and David Hines, brother, Curtis Watts. Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
