Obituary of James Morris

Funeral services for James C. Morris, age92, of Dallas will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 20, 2012 with Rev. Jimmy Henry officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Interment will be at Ridgeway Cemetery. James passed peacefully on Monday, October 15, 2012 at his residence. He was surrounded by his extended family. James was born on September 1, 1920 in Hugo, OK, the son of Oscar and Artie (Butler) Morris. He was a graduate of Texas Technological College as an electrical engineer in 1941. He proudly served his country during WWII, as an Army Air Corp instructor in the theory and operation of radar, a cutting edge technology at the time. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Helen (Smith) Morris and children, James, Glenn and Sylvia as well as 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, O. H.
