Obituary of Martha Loper

Graveside services for Martha Jane Loper, age 74, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Sulphur Springs City Cemetery with Dr. Jimmy Henry officiating. There will be no formal visitation. James Loper, Andrew Loper, Joe Jennings, Travis Booth, Gregg Jackson, and Randall Perry will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Anderson, Tommy Long, Ray Gardner, Vaden Ritchie, Ed Oetting, Eric Wilson, Ty Bo Jackson and Ben Jennings. Mrs. Loper passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Loper was born on September 25, 1937 in Belton, TX, the daughter of Gordie D. and Tura Mae (Ross) Loper. Mrs. Loper married Emmett Loper and he preceded her in death on January 21, 2007. Mrs. Loper was a homemaker and loved to sew and make quilts. She is survived by her son, Tim Loper and wife Annette of Sulphur Springs, daughter-in-law, Rebecca Loper, grandchildren, Brandi Loper, Courtney Loper, Andrew Loper, Khrystyne Loper, James Loper, Greg Jackson and wife Katherine, Stephanie Perry and husband Randall, great-grandchildren, Jason Loper, Sammantha Loper, Drew Loper, Kinlie Loper, Wesley Jackson, Lily Jackson and Mattie Perry, twin brother Mark Wayne Clapp and several nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces.
