Obituary of Karen Vaden
Funeral service for Ms. Karen Vaden, 56, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at 11 am, Monday, September 3, 2012 at Morning Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Rev. M. LaVelle Hendricks officiating and Rev. Troy Young co-officiating. Interment will follow at Caney Cemetery with Greg “Chappie” Chapman, Lester Henley, Ronald “Squirrel” Wills, Johnny “Elvis” Nordin, Greg “Action” Jackson, Bill Barrett, Hank “Hankie Pooh” Kyle, and Joe Willie Hooten serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, September 2, 2012 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Karen passed away on August 30, 2012 at her residence. She was born March 10, 1956, daughter of Cleveland and Ruth Berry Vaden, in Hopkins County. She was a member of Morning Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, while on watch-care of The East Caney Baptist Church. She graduated from Sulphur Springs Senior High in 1974. She was employed with (TXU) Luminate Mining Company for 29 years until her health started to fail in 2008. She leaves to mourn her passing, father, Cleveland Vaden of Sulphur Springs, TX, aunts, Inez Berry Spigner Vaden of Dallas, TX, Bennie K. Berry of Sulphur Springs, TX, sister, Linda K. Hall of Sulphur Springs, TX, niece, Ashley and Taryn Clayton, niece and brother, Tiffany and Jason Yarbrough, niece and caretaker, Desiree Smith, great-nephews, Terrel Turman, Ivyn Clayton, Alexander Smith, great-niece, Jayla Yarbrough, Rachel Harrington, Mariah McCord, and Jasmine McCord, all of Sulphur Springs, TX. Mourners also include a host of god-children, relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by brother, Cleveland, Jr. 1952, and mother, Ruth Berry Vaden on March 9, 1993.
