Obituary of Lucille Pemberton

Graveside services for Lucille Pemberton, age 94, of Commerce will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Sonora Cemetery in Fairlie, TX with Rev. Valarie Englert officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 16, 2012 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mrs. Pemberton passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Oak Manor Nursing Home in Commerce. Mrs. Pemberton was born on December 2, 1917 in Yowell, TX, the daughter of Barney F and Dollie (Brimm) Presley. She married Woodrow W. Pemberton on May 23, 1935. He preceded her in death. She was the 7th child out of eight in their family. Mrs. Pemberton was a member of First United Methodist Church in Commerce. She worked for Sherwood Medical Supply and then went to work with her son Harold Pemberton at Pemberton Funeral Home and Pemberton/Lybrand Funeral Home until it closed. She is survived by her daughter Linda Savage of Commerce, grandchildren, David Pemberton of Dallas, Banks Pemberton of Celina, Craig Ramsey of Dallas, James Lett of Waxahachie and Christy Jackson of Pottsboro and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Harold Pemberton, daughter, Bettye Ramsey, one son-in-law, Bobby Savage, 5 sisters and 2 brothers, and one great-granddaughter.
