Obituary of Margaret Glosup

Funeral services for Margaret Long Glosup, age 94, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Posey Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeway Cemetery with Rob Stanley, Daniel Soeder, Derek Soeder, Dustin Soeder, Dean Soeder and Tom McCoy serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Andy Wright, Larry Spradlin and Weldon Glossup. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 prior to service time at Posey Baptist Church. Mrs. Glosup passed away Monday, May 28, 2012, at her residence. Mrs. Glosup was born on December 13, 1917, in Addran, TX, the daughter of Samuel Monroe and Edith Mae (Edmundson) Long. She married Robert Boyd Glosup on April 10, 1935, in Hugo, OK. He preceded her in death on September 21, 2004. Mrs. Glosup was a homemaker and an active member of Posey Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Carole Stanley and husband Ronnie of Sulphur Springs, Donna Soeder and husband David of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Rob Stanley and wife Brandee, Shelley McCoy and husband Tom, Daniel Soeder and wife Stephanie, Derek Soeder, Dustin Soeder, Dean Soeder and Dawn Soeder; great-grandchildren, Andrew McCoy, Cayla McCoy, Aaron Stanley, Rachel Stanley, Samuel Stanley, Rebekah Stanley, Isaac Stanley, Josiah Stanley, Gideon Stanley and Jadon Soeder. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, W. S. William “Pete” Long, sisters, Bess Rawson, Nell Long and Jo Estes and numerous nieces and nephews.
